As part of Hawaii Public Radio’s special concert series featuring Hawaii’s great jazz piano players in solo performance on the Atherton Studio’s Bosendorfer grand piano, Rich Crandall will be performing on October 21st. The show starts at 7:30 and features two sets with an intermission.

The Hawaii Piano Jazz Masters Series begins with Rich Crandall in a solo concert at the Atherton Studio on the Bosendorfer grand piano. He has performed with greats like Freddie Hubbard, Sadao Watanabe, Frank Morgan, Ernestine Anderson, Trummy Young, Henry Mancini, Ira Sullivan, Rufus Reid, et al. But it’s life in the islands that’s assured Rich’s musical individuality. Rich’s new solo piano album of standards, Buddy Nowhere 1930s, is now released and available online or by mail order.
